Programs & Initiatives
The Coalition offers a wide variety of programming that appeals to women attorneys with all levels of experience. Past program topics have included, “Successful programs for your women’s initiatives,” “Dealing with different generations in one law firm” and “Networking,” to name a few.
The Coalition had a great kick-off year in 2008. We began with the formation of a steering committee in January, 2008. A stellar group of women from more than 20 firms worked together to formulate the vision and lay the foundation for the organization. After officially launching in early 2008, we elected a Board of Directors and, in September, we formed six committees – Programming, Public Relations, Policy, Community Outreach, Membership and Finance. We are thrilled that the Coalition is now comprised of more than 35 member firms with more than 80 delegates representing those firms. For more information, see 2008 – A Year In Review.
Going forward, the Coalition will continue to provide relevant and informative programming related to issues facing women and women’s initiatives in law firms. In addition to launching this website, we are planning an event for first year women at area law firms, networking events with women in the business community, and our first annual gala event to showcase the Coalition and its member firms in the fall.
